The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus (100) for detecting an impact at front of a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises a first portion (110) and a second portion (120). The first portion (110) can be configured to mount the apparatus (100) onto at least one sensor mounting bracket (210) at the front of the vehicle. The second portion (120) can be configured to create a pressure change, during the impact, within a pressure tube positioned at the front of the vehicle. The pressure change within the pressure tube can be detected by a pressure sensor of the vehicle and a magnitude of the pressure change can then be compared with a threshold pressure change value to validate the impact at the front of the vehicle."
