MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127195 A) filed by Minda Corporation Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 15, 2025, for 'an anti-theft lock device for a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses an anti-theft lock device (100). The anti-theft lock device (100) includes a housing (102), a locking plunger (116), a switch unit (108), a first cylinder assembly (105) and a second cylinder assembly (104). Further, the first cylinder assembly (105) is operatively connected to the switch unit (108) and includes a casing (105a) and a tumbler mechanism (105b). Here, the tumbler mechanism is configured to receive a key (112) to operate a locking plunger (116) and the switch unit (108). The second cylinder assembly (104) is adapted to receive the key (112) and includes a rotor (104b) disposed coaxially adjacent to the casing (105a) and rotatably supported within the housing (102). Here, the rotor (104b) is coaxially aligned with the casing (105a) and configured to selectively rotate independent to the casing (105a) based on operation of a foreign object (113)."
