MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311052199 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'an anti-emetic composition comprising a nano-sized lipid emulsion of an nk-1 receptor antagonist.'

Inventor(s) include Akash Chaurasiya; and Mamidi Shankeraiah.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an anti-emetic composition comprising a nano-sized lipid emulsion of an NK-1 receptor antagonist and combinations of NK-1 receptor antagonist and corticosteroid. The invention also relates to a method of preparing the said composition. The NK-1 receptor antagonist is rolapitant and the corticosteroid is dexamethasone."
