MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441006649 A) filed by Bosch Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'an algorithm for detecting hydrogen gas leakage from a high-pressure rail of a hydrogen engine.'
Inventor(s) include George Anthony Prakash.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An algorithm 100 for detecting hydrogen gas leakage from a high-pressure rail of a hydrogen engine is described. The algorithm 100 comprises determining 110 if a vehicle is in a switched off condition, determining 120 a pressure of hydrogen gas in the high-pressure rail of the hydrogen engine at a first time, and determining 130 a pressure of hydrogen gas at a second time. The algorithm 100 further comprises determining 140 if the pressure of hydrogen gas in the high-pressure rail at the second time is lesser than the pressure of hydrogen gas in the high-pressure rail at the first time, and identifying 150 an internal leakage in the high-pressure rail if the pressure of hydrogen gas in the high-pressure rail of the hydrogen engine at the second time is lesser than the pressure of hydrogen gas in the high-pressure rail of the hydrogen engine at the first time."
