MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070203 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 17, 2024, for 'an air frying acessory for a microwave oven.'
Inventor(s) include Singh Navtej; and Sharma Yogesh.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An air frying accessory (110) for a microwave oven (100) is provided. The air frying accessory (110) includes a base (202) to accommodate a food item for air frying, a plurality of legs (204) having a predetermined height mechanically coupled with the base (202) to keep the base (202) at a predetermined height for uniform air circulation over a food item kept on the base (202), a plurality of grill beads (208) vertically protruding from the base (202) to provide a specific gap between the base (202) and food item kept over the base (202), and a plurality of holes (210) provided between each grill beads (208) of the plurality of grill beads (208) to circulate the hot air inside the specific gap formed between the food item and the base (202) to facilitate the uniform cooking of the food."
