MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421015658 A) filed by Plustech Systems & Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on March 2, 2024, for 'an air filtration unit for a paint booth and a method of operation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an air filtration unit (3) the painting booth. Said filtration unit (3) includes a filter trolley (300) positioned at predetermined location and communicatively connected to a booth lower tank (201) of paint booth (200) using connecting means (310). A paint filter basket (302) is placed inside the filter trolley (300). The paint filters (303) are installed horizontally inside said paint filters basket (302). A trolley lock (306) is mounted on said filter trolley (300) to ensure grip of said filter trolley (300) with an auto damper (306) fixed on exhaust duct (402) of exhaust system (400). The present disclosure pertains to an advanced method for the efficient removal of paint sludge in a downdraft air filtration unit (3) of a paint booth (200). This innovative approach incorporates a three-step process designed to enhance paint mist elimination with superior efficiency while ensuring a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution."
