MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511119240 A) filed by Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 29, 2025, for 'an air-cooled battery chamber.'
Inventor(s) include Rustam Khan; Swastik Acharya; and Praveen Kumar Agarwal.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an air-cooled battery chamber (100), comprises a battery chamber (1) includes a cavity to accommodate a battery (17) therein. The hinged plate (4) pivotally attached to said battery chamber (1) configured to allow placement and removal of said battery (17) in said battery chamber (1). Two opposite facing outlets (5, 6) provided with said battery chamber (1) to create an air flow path through said battery chamber (1). A battery chamber holder (2) is provided with a plurality of holding slots (8) with an extending plates (9) to hold and keep said battery chamber (1) securely in a fixed position. The battery pack cover (3) configured to enclose said battery chamber holder (2) to protect said battery (17) from physical impact and environmental factors."
