MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002030 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'an adaptive neural system for emotion detection in video interviews.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Anshu Vashisth; and Gagandeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses an adaptive neural system (100) for real-time emotion detection during video interviews. The system (100) integrates visual, audio, and textual data using a convolutional neural network (CNN) module (102), recurrent neural network (RNN) or long short-term memory (LSTM) module (104), and a natural language processing (NLP) module (106). An adaptive attention fusion layer (AAFL) (108) dynamically weights these modalities based on signal quality and context. A decision analytics layer (110) generates an emotional profile including confidence, stress, anxiety, enthusiasm, and engagement, displayed on a recruiter dashboard (112). The system (100) operates in cloud and edge environments, maintains privacy, and continuously self-learns through reinforcement learning (114) to enhance accuracy, enabling informed hiring decisions."
