MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063345 A) filed by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute Of Science And Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 19, for 'an adaptive dual-controller intelligent coffee brewing system with closed-loop brewing optimization.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjoy Debnath; Kishore Kumar Madupuru; Venkata Balaji Potladurthi; and Bhanu Prakash Reddy Kurakula.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an adaptive dual-controller intelligent coffee brewing system incorporating distributed embedded architecture, adaptive brewing intelligence, closed-loop brewing optimization, and Internet of Things (IoT) enabled monitoring for automated beverage preparation. The system comprises a first embedded controller configured for user interaction and supervisory control and a second embedded controller configured for brewing process execution, thermal regulation, and sensor-based monitoring. The controllers communicate through a low-latency wireless communication protocol for synchronized operation. The invention dynamically regulates brewing parameters including coffee powder quantity, water temperature, extraction duration, and flow conditions using real-time sensor feedback and adaptive control algorithms. The system further incorporates closed-loop brewing optimization for maintaining beverage consistency under varying operational conditions. IoT-enabled communication allows remote monitoring, personalized brewing configuration, operational analytics, and maintenance notification through a mobile application platform, thereby improving brewing reliability, process automation, user convenience, and beverage quality consistency."
