MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341088350 A) filed by Valeo Systemes Thermiques, La Verriere, France, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'an active grille shutter system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An active grille shutter system (100) includes a frame (10), at least one slide (20) and an actuator (30). The frame (10) is mounted on a front fascia (202). The frame (10) is formed with at least one opening (12). The at least one slide (20) is formed with at least one aperture (22) complementary to the at least one opening (12). The slide (20) moves relative to the frame (10) in overlapping manner between blocking and unblocking configuration thereof. In the blocking configuration, a rib portion (24) overlaps the opening (12) to prevent airflow through the opening (12). In the unblocking configuration, the aperture (22) is aligned with respect to the opening (12) to allow airflow through the opening (12). The actuator (30) is functionally coupled to the at least one slide (20) and move the at least one slide (20) relative to the frame (10)."
