MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052776 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 25, for 'an active aerodynamic grille control system for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Anant Prakash Agrawal; and Dr. Anand Kushwah.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An active aerodynamic grille control system for a vehicle includes a grille module having movable louver members, an actuator assembly, a linkage interface, a position sensor unit, a sensing network, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit determines a target grille aperture from vehicle speed, thermal demand, and environmental data, and regulates airflow to an airflow duct and heat exchanger section. The system reduces aerodynamic drag during low cooling demand while preserving adequate heat rejection during elevated operating conditions."
