MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013544 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'amphibian animal trapping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sonal Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An amphibian animal trapping device, comprises of a body 1 installed over water surface of a swimming pool 2 arranged with an inflatable member 3 that aids the body 1 to float over water surface, an image capturing module 4 determines presence of amphibians within pool 2 from processed images, an ultrasonic sensor determines distance between body 1 and amphibians, a sliding arrangement 5 for positioning body 1 towards position of amphibians, a telescopic rod 6 for extending to position body 1 in proximity to amphibians, a motorized flap 7 assembled with body 1 to get deployed over water surface that allows amphibian to enter within body 1, a holographic projecting unit 8 for projecting images to attract amphibians towards body 1 and an extendable frame 9 for extending in order to trap amphibians within body 1."
