MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122502 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'ambiconnect: unifying spaces with intelligent presence.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. D. Bhanu Prakash; Dr. Arun Kumar Katkoori; and Kunchala Veera Narayana.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention reveals an occupancy adaptable intelligent lighting control system that aims at minimizing the amount of energy that is wasted in classrooms, colleges, and other confined situations. It uses a motion detector to recognise the presence of a human being. A controlled power supply consisting of a voltage regulator or a switch mode power supply is used to give the sensor and control circuitry constant operating voltage. The electromechanical relay or Latching relay is used in order to achieve the loading switching, that is, in order to offer the lighting activation to the user as well as deactivation of the lighting when no occupancy is determined over a certain period of time. It enhances reliability and cost effectiveness. The suggested system will reduce the waste of power, human reliance, and can be deployed massively in learning centers, government, offices, and homes."
