Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Alkylphenol-Aldehyde Resins With A Natural Aldehyde Component For Use In Oilfield Applications' Filed by Championx Llc

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517094253 A) filed by Championx Llc, Sugar Land, U.S.A., on Sept. 30, for 'alkylphenol-aldehyde resins with a natural aldehyde component for use in oilfield applications.'

Inventor(s) include Owsik, Izabela Anita; Monk, Keith Allen; and Gilmer, Chad Michael.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Alkylphenol-aldehyde resins and alkoxy alkylphenol-aldehyde resins that have a natural aldehyde component for use in oilfield applications. A method for synthesizing an alkylphenol-aldehyde resin having a natural aldehyde component, a method for synthesizing an alkoxy alkylphenol- aldehyde resin having a natural aldehyde component, and methods for asphaltene inhibition, viscosity reduction, and emulsion breaking using the disclosed resins."
