MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123652 A) filed by Veerabhadra Elite Electrodynamic Solutions Llp, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'air foil model solar powered battery electric vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Veeramallu Veera Brahmanjaneya Prasad; and Veeramallu Lalitha Devi.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an air foil model solar-powered battery electric vehicle (100) designed for enhanced energy efficiency and reduced power consumption. The vehicle comprises a solar panel system (200) with high-efficiency flexible photo-voltaic cells and a solar charger-controller configured to charge a battery pack (220) efficiently under varying sunlight irradiations and panel inclinations. The battery pack (220) supplies power to an electric motor (240) via a motor controller (230) controlling power, torque, and speed according to operational requirements. A battery management system (250) maintains battery health through state estimation, cell balancing, thermal management, and protective measures, while an on-board charger (260) provides backup charging. The vehicle body is designed based on an air foil profile optionally with reduced chord length, to minimize air drag coefficient (Cd) and air drag power. Wheels and wheel air domes are optimized for airflow and rolling resistance reduction. The design reduces battery size, motor rating, and overall vehicle weight, achieving energy savings, extended range, and cost benefits."
