Inventor(s) include S. Krishnakumar; R. Silesh; T. Kathiravan; M. Naresh; and B. Ketan Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Our project otters a smart child safety device that integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) with artificial intelligence (Al) to give kids better protection in various types of environments. In order to detect unusual or dangerous circumstances in real time, the system is designed to continuously monitor the child's location and actions. The device may detect unusual behaviours that can be dangerous, like extended periods of inactivity, abrupt movements, or deviations from typical routes, by examining movement and activity data. The system has a fingerprint-based SOS feature that enables the child to immediately request assistance in an emergency. When the SOS is activated, parents or guardians and other trusted people in the area within a certain radius receive notifications immediately. This ensures that those who are physically close to the child can provide help quickly, reducing off response times during critical moments. This project's community-based safety approach is one of its main advantages. The technology engages local users in addition to alerting authorities and guardians, resulting in a local support network that can react more quickly than centralized services alone. The possibility of timely intervention and support is increased by this collaborative framework. By understanding normal behaviour patterns and more precisely identifying potential threats, the addition of Al enables intelligent decision-making. IoT connectivity guarantees smooth communication between mobile apps, cloud servers, and the child's device. All things considered, the suggested system offers a reliable, inclusive, and technologically advanced option for child safety, providing parent's peace of mind and significantly enhancing protection in today's digitally connected environment."
