MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541132805 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'ai ransomware detection using lstm model.'
Inventor(s) include D. Vikram; S. Nagarajan; and Dr. S. Kirubakaran.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Artificial Intelligence powered ransomware detection system analysis the sequential behavioral pattern by Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) neural network. In the real time system, the sequences are gathered by the system calls and convert into numerical values and process by the LSTM model to trained to make the difference between ransomware and normal behavior. The decision layer classify the potential risk and start initiate the mitigation process which include the process termination and alert generation. This idea for cloud infrastructure and large scale environment to provide accurate, early detection of ransomware without depends on the static signature or cryptographic techniques."
