MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061674 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on May 15, for 'ai-powered language lab system for improving english speaking skills of tribal students.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the development of the AI-Powered Language Lab System aims at bridging the linguistic, cultural, and accessibility gaps faced by the students belonging to the tribal community and improving their level of proficiency in the English language with the help of advanced digital technology. Automatic speech recognition, natural language processing, and intelligent adaptive learning methods have been incorporated in the system that will enable students to receive personalized pronunciation assistance, enhance their vocabulary, and develop conversational skills. Multilingual interface has been integrated in the language lab system where the native language can be used as a scaffold in learning the English language. The system analyzes the student's voice pattern, fluency, and confidence and gives them appropriate feedback. It also allows the teacher to observe student progress via cloud-based analytics."
