Inventor(s) include Dr. N. Pandeeswari; Deepalakshmi S; M. Daphne Grace; I. Dharani; and R. M. Gokul.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Jewelry shops are highly vulnerable to theft and fraud due to the small size and high value of their products. Traditional security measures such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and security guards are largely reactive and limited by human vigilance. This project proposes an Al-powered intelligent jewelry shop surveillance and management system that enhances security, operational efficiency, and customer experience. The system integrates CCTV cameras, motion sensors, and RFID-based tracking with an Al module to detect unusual behaviours like loitering, unauthorised access, or suspicious movements. On detecting threats, it sends real-time alerts via alarms, notifications, or visual markers, while storing annotated video and sales data in a central database. Beyond security, it enhances customer experience with digital catalogues and AR try-on features, and ensures seamless e-commerce integration with realtime inventory management. This intelligent solution delivers theft prevention, customer trust, and operational efficiency for jewellery shops."
