MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125111 A) filed by B V Raju Institute Of Technology, Narsapur, Telangana, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'ai-optimized utilization of construction and demolition waste (c&d waste) in flexible pavement design and performance prediction.'
Inventor(s) include Samanasa Krishna Rao; Adduri Deepika; Battu Nikhil Raju; Battu Nishanth Raju; Gangula Kshetragnu; and Maske Sandeep.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention presents an AI-enabled system for designing flexible pavement mixes incorporating Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste. Material properties, gradation profiles, and mix parameters are processed by machine-learning models to predict performance indicators such as stability, rutting resistance, moisture susceptibility, and resilient modulus. An optimization module determines ideal C&D waste replacement ratios and binder adjustments. The system classifies suitable pavement layers and provides decision support for sustainable pavement design. The workflow is adaptable to varying C&D compositions and enables cost-effective, environmentally responsible utilization of waste in road construction."
