MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102931 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'ai-enhanced smart mobile cover with predictive heat detection and adaptive micro-fan cooling system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Karan Bajaj; Dr. Baljinder Kaur; and Dr. Manik Rakhra.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart mobile cover system (100) integrates predictive heat detection (102), an AI processing unit (104), and an adaptive micro-fan cooling assembly (106) to prevent smartphone overheating. Thermal sensors (102) monitor real-time device temperature and send data to the AI unit (104), which predicts potential heat accumulation based on usage patterns, battery status, and environmental factors. The adaptive micro-fan assembly (106) dynamically adjusts airflow to maintain safe operating temperatures. Additional sensors provide context-aware cooling for different orientations and environments. A mobile app interface (108) allows monitoring, predictive alerts, and user customization. An independent rechargeable battery (110) powers the system without draining the smartphone. The system ensures device safety, extends battery and component life, mitigates thermal throttling, and improves user comfort and convenience, providing an energy-efficient and portable solution for advanced smartphone thermal management."
