MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621040527 A) filed by Winsol Hybrid Power Private Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on March 31, for 'ai-enabled wind-solar smart streetlight poles with surveillance, iot automation for low-wind urbanity.'
Inventor(s) include Karishma Singhal; Purushottam Singhal; and Uttam Singhal.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multifunctional hybrid power street lighting pole system (100) optimized for low-wind urban and semi-urban environments. The system comprises a vertically oriented pole (101) supporting a dual-rotor vertical-axis wind turbine (102) with drag-type and lift-type blades, at least one solar photovoltaic panel (103) mounted on a motorized single-axis AI-controlled tracking mechanism, and at least one LED street lighting luminaire (104). Electrical energy is stored in a rechargeable energy storage unit (105) with an AI-powered Battery Management System and thermal management. A hybrid power electronics subsystem (106) and a control unit (107) comprising an AI-based module manage energy generation, LED dimming, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection. An integrated IoT telemetry framework collects sensor data and transmits performance metrics to a remote monitoring system. The system operates independently of an external grid and can export surplus energy, providing reliable, intelligent, and efficient street lighting under low and variable renewable energy conditions."
