MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511112665 A) filed by Kiet Group Of Institutions, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 17, 2025, for 'ai-enabled semiconductor recycling system.'
Inventor(s) include Vanshika Agrawal; Dr. Yaduvir Singh; Himanshu Maurya; Atul Kumar Gupta; and Srijan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention titled AI-Enabled Semiconductor Recycling System for Precious Metal Recovery (100) provides a specialized solution for recovering valuable metals from semiconductor-based waste. The system comprises a collection and tracking module (101) for waste traceability, a dismantling unit (102) for precise chip separation, an AI-based sorting module (103) for intelligent classification, and an electrochemical recovery unit (104) for selective extraction of metals such as gold, silver, palladium, and copper. A refining and purification module (105) enhances metal purity, while a secure destruction subsystem (106) ensures complete data elimination. A data management and analytics platform (107) monitors performance and compliance, supported by a wastewater recycling subsystem (108) and a central control unit (109) for coordinated operation. The system enables environmentally safe, data-secure, and economically viable semiconductor recycling, supporting sustainable material recovery and circular economy objectives."
