According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an AI-enabled real-time food redistribution system that connects food providers with non-governmental organizations to minimize food waste and improve access to surplus edible resources. The system includes a donor interface through which restaurants and food outlets upload information regarding surplus food, a receiver interface accessible to NGOs, an artificial intelligence engine that evaluates food characteristics, quantity, donor location, shelf life, and logistical feasibility, and a communication module that generates automated notifications. Based on the evaluation, the artificial intelligence engine recommends the most suitable NGO for timely retrieval of the surplus food. The system incorporates geolocation mapping, route prediction, real-time tracking, and a cloud-based data management layer for storing transaction history and generating sustainability analytics. By providing automated matching, rapid communication, and transparent operational workflows, the invention offers an efficient technological mechanism for preventing wastage and ensuring that edible food is delivered promptly to communities in need."
