MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123046 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'ai-driven video resume parsing for enhanced competency mapping.'

The system includes a video processing component configured to extract audio content from video resume files, a speech-to-text conversion component configured to transcribe the extracted audio content into text format, a natural language processing component configured to analyze the transcribed text and generate structured competency assessments, and an interface component configured to receive the video resume files and output analysis results. The system operates through a layered architecture (FIG. 1) that separates data collection, processing, artificial intelligence analysis, and result delivery functions to enable automated candidate evaluation processes that provide comprehensive assessments of candidate qualifications, skills, and suitability for roles."
