MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115795 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 23, 2025, for 'ai-driven verified alumni-student mentorship recommendation system with hybrid graph-based matching and working method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Anuj Kumar; Mohit Singh; Aryan Singh; Rajat Kumar; and Adarsh Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an AI-driven verified alumni-student mentorship recommendation system that integrates multi-layer identity authentication with a hybrid AI matching framework to provide reliable, bias-free mentorship connections. The system performs institutional and government-grade verification using academic databases, Aadhaar e-KYC, and DigiLocker certificates, ensuring authenticity of alumni and student profiles. A hybrid recommendation engine combines TF-IDF and transformer-based embeddings with collaborative filtering and graph-based analytics including PageRank and community detection to compute accurate mentor-mentee compatibility scores. A fairness re-ranking module mitigates demographic bias, while a transformer-based spam detection module suppresses fraudulent or low-quality entities. Deployed on a scalable microservices architecture, the system generates verified, context-aware, and secure mentor recommendations. The invention addresses limitations of existing alumni platforms by ensuring authenticity, contextual relevance, and equitable access to mentorship opportunities."
