According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an AI-driven solar agricultural robot for precision farming applications. The system integrates artificial intelligence-based weed detection, thermal weed eradication, and root-zone soil moisture-based smart irrigation control into a single autonomous platform. The robot is capable of identifying weeds using advanced image processing techniques and eliminating them through targeted thermal energy without harming crops. Simultaneously, the system monitors soil moisture at multiple depths and regulates water delivery based on root-level requirements. The robot operates using solar energy, ensuring sustainable and continuous field operation with minimal human intervention. The invention significantly reduces labor dependency, eliminates chemical herbicide usage, and optimizes water consumption. Overall, the system improves crop yield, enhances resource efficiency, and supports environmentally sustainable and economically viable modern agricultural practices worldwide and is suitable for deployment in small- and large-scale farming environments with adaptability to various crop types and field conditions across diverse agricultural regions."
