MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123268 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 6, 2025, for 'ai-driven iot cyber-physical intrusion detection and prevention system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. M. Madiajagan; Mr. Sajag Agarwal; Mr. Rahul Naha; and Mr. Tushar Modi.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a method for cyber-physical intrusion detection and prevention that includes scanning identification tags to generate entry and exit logs with timestamps for crowd monitoring, performing biometric authentication, analyzing crowd density data using machine learning algorithms to predict security risk levels, automatically triggering alerts when predicted security risk levels exceed predetermined thresholds, implementing multi-factor authentication including digital verification processes, processing authentication and crowd data through a backend server system, and storing user data and security logs in a database system. The system comprises an ESP32 microcontroller (100) interfaced with an RC522 RFID reader module (102) for scanning identification tags, a fingerprint sensor module (104) for biometric authentication, a buzzer component (106) for audible alerts, a Django web framework backend (108), HTTP endpoints (110), a MongoDB Atlas database (112), and a 5V regulated power supply (114)."
