MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122591 A) filed by Easwari Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'ai-driven brain tumor diagnosis and treatment platform.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. A. Arockia Abins; and Sindhu M.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention presents an advanced artificial intelligence-powered system for brain tumor detection, segmentation, and treatment recommendation using MRI data. The proposed . framework integrates a Mask-RCNN deep learning architecture with a Gemini-based multimodal model to achieve precise tumor localization and personalized therapy guidance. The Mask-RCNN component performs pixel-level segmentation to delineate tumor boundaries with high accuracy, while the Gemini model fuses imaging features with patient-specific clinical parameters such as age, symptoms, and genetic factors to generate tailored treatment suggestions. AI enhances interpretability by identifying influential regions contributing to predictions, ensuring transparency and clinical trust. The system includes a user-friendly dashboard for MRI visualization, treatment planning, and report generation. By combining deep learning, multimodal fusion, and explainable AI, the invention improves diagnostic precision, accelerates decision-making, and supports personalized neurooncology care for better patient outcomes. A user-friendly dashboard enables visualization of segmented tumors, confidence scores, and recommended therapies in real time."
