MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102926 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'ai-driven automatic headlight dimming and brightening system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pankaj Rahi; and Ravinder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An AI-Driven Automatic Headlight Dimming and Brightening System (100) is disclosed, featuring an intelligent closed-loop control architecture. The system includes a sensing unit (102) for real-time detection of traffic and environmental parameters, an AI processing module (104) for analyzing sensor data, a headlight control circuit (106) for dynamic beam adjustment, and a feedback system (108) for continuous optimization. The AI module (104) employs machine learning to identify oncoming vehicles and environmental conditions, automatically switching between high and low beams to prevent glare and maintain maximum visibility. The system further includes a driver interface (110) for manual override and compliance monitoring. Through adaptive learning, it enhances performance over time, reduces energy consumption, and."
