MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102930 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'ai-controlled robotic lawn sculptor system for autonomous artistic landscaping.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Manik Rakhra.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An AI-Controlled Robotic Lawn Sculptor system (100) configured to autonomously traverse lawns using a mobile platform (102) and perform precision mowing and artistic landscaping. The system (100) includes a navigation and mapping module (104) integrating GPS, LiDAR, SLAM, and ultrasonic sensors to generate a real-time 3D lawn map and detect obstacles. An AI design engine (106) converts user-selected or uploaded patterns into optimized cutting paths considering grass type, moisture, terrain, and weather. A multi-axis cutting assembly (108) executes intricate designs and 3D textures, while an obstacle detection module (110) ensures safety for humans, pets, and objects. The system (100) supports swarm operation, cloud connectivity, and smart-home integration, allowing remote monitoring, AI optimization, and coordinated operation of multiple units. Rechargeable or solar-assisted power ensures eco-friendly, silent operation. The system (100) provides efficient, precise, safe, and creative lawn landscaping."
