MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115805 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 23, 2025, for 'ai-based system for personalized diet recommendation using machine learning models and working method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Aman Verma; Akshay Pandey; Abhinav Mishra; Abhinandan Pandey; and Sandeep Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an AI-based system for generating personalized diet recommendations through a hybrid multi-layer intelligence architecture integrating ontology reasoning, content-based filtering, collaborative filtering, and deep generative modeling. The system incorporates CPU/GPU-enabled backend servers, multi-tier databases, nutritional ontologies, EHR ingestion APIs, wearable-data pipelines, and user interfaces to acquire, process, and evaluate individual dietary, clinical, cultural, and behavioural parameters. A Variational Autoencoder combined with a Gated Recurrent Unit (VAE-GRU) generates personalized meal-plan candidates, which are refined by a multi-objective optimization module applying caloric, medical, cultural, and taste-based constraints. A continuous feedback loop enables adaptive learning from user adherence and physiological responses. The invention provides an industrially applicable, medically compliant, and dynamically evolving personalized nutrition system surpassing traditional rule-based or single-layer recommendation techniques."
