MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122615 A) filed by Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University; Malla Reddy College Of Engineering And Technology; Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth; Malla Reddy University; and Malla Reddy Engineering College For Women, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Telangana, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'ai based resume evaluation tool for hr shortlisting processes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current invention has implemented an artificial intelligence educational program that aims at automated screening and screening of resumes during the hiring of employees. The traditional processes in lying recruitments either rely on manual reading or standard programs that are subject to delay, bias and overlook eligible candidates who portray their skills in unique ways. This invention uses natural language processing and unstructured resume scoring, which uses the experience, skills, certifications, and additional education information to interpret the unstructured resume. It also correlates these parameters with job descriptions, and competency frameworks with regulatory requirements to have objective ranking of the candidates. Different stages of analytical pipeline are used to transform loose text into structured candidate profiles, grant relevancy scores based on each position and create explanations that can be understood by the recruiter. The predictive models by swapping feedback with real hiring performance will keep on improving continuous improvements and biasness is mitigated and regulation curtails adherence to the rules. The invention also greatly increases the accuracy of shortlisting, cuts down a human resource processing time, and improves the efficiency by which human resource activities are undertaken via business leaders operating on an enterprise level."
