MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641044339 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 7, for 'ai based mental health monitoring and support system for menopausal patients.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pavithra S; Dr. Praveenkumar Rajendran; and Deepak Nallaswamy Veeraiyan.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an Al-driven mental health monitoring and cognitive support system specifically designed for menopausal patients experiencing anxiety, sleep disturbances, memory lapses, and attention deficits. The system integrates wearable or smartphone-based physiological and behavioral sensors to collect data such as heart rate variability, skin conductance, sleep patterns, activity levels, and task engagement. A microcontroller in conjunction with an AI and ML module analyzes these multi-modal data streams to detect emotional and cognitive stressors. Personalized interventions, cognitive prompts, and behavioral recommendations are delivered through a connected interface, including mobile apps or wearable displays. The system operates continuously, ensuring realtime symptom tracking and adaptive support. By providing menopause-specific AI monitoring and intervention, the invention improves mental well-being, cognitive performance, and overall quality of life without pharmacological dependence."
