MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541132986 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'ai based hardware architecture with neural network inference engine for mitigation of network attacks.'

Inventor(s) include S. Gayathri; and K. Prabhu.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Al based hardware architecture enables us to quickly detect and stop network attacks. Instead of analyzing slow software methods, hardware module is designed to analyze large amounts of network traffic with minimum delay. The device includes a multi-core processor, a neural-network engine, and a feature-extraction circuit that work together to identify unusual or harmful patterns in the data. If a new threat arrives, Al model can be updated. Because the detection happens directly in hardware, the system offers fast response, fewer false alarms, and reliable protection even when traffic is very high. This makes it suitable for loT devices, industrial networks, cloud-edge platforms, and enterprise security environments."
