MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105782 A) filed by Dr. Gobinda Ghosh; Dr. Palash Sarkar; Dr. Nimai Sarkar; and Dr. Dipankar Saha, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, on Nov. 1, for 'ai-assisted construction of complementary and z-complementary code sets using additive characters.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Gobinda Ghosh; Dr. Palash Sarkar; Dr. Nimai Sarkar; and Dr. Dipankar Saha.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to an artificial intelligence-assisted system for constructing complete complementary codes (CCC) and Z-complementary code (ZCC) sets using additive characters defined over Galois Fields. The invention combines algebraic sequence generation with optimization techniques including reinforcement learning and evolutionary algorithms to produce scalable coding suitable for next-generation communication systems. The system comprises an additive character-based code generator, a Galois Field parameter selection unit, an AI optimization engine, a correlation evaluation analyzer, and a zero-correlation zone configuration controller. A feedback loop refines sequence parameters until optimal correlation properties are achieved. The invention enables low auto-correlation and cross-correlation side-lobes, adaptability to real-time wireless environments, and reduced computational complexity. Generated codes are suitable for OFDM, MC-CDMA, 5G/6G networks, radar, and IoT systems. The invention provides improved spectral efficiency, interference suppression, and user capacity over conventional deterministic code designs."
