MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541112988 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'ai assisted adaptive scanning and object tracking system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. D. Vanathi; C. B. Lashmee Sri; and S. Nisha.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This paper presents an Al-Assisted Adaptive Ultrasonic Scanning and Object Tracking System for Small Boats, .developed to enhance safety and navigation in marine environments. The system integrates an ultrasonic sensor mounted on a servo motor controlled by an Arduino Uno. with an ESP32-CAM module for Al-based noise filtering and real-time wireless visualization. It operates in two intelligent modes, scanning to detect nearby obstacles and tracking to monitor confirmed objects. The Al algorithm filters false readings caused by waves or reflections and continuously learns from environmental data to improve accuracy. A 2D radar-style interface provides real-time visualization of detected objects, aiding operators in safe navigation. The compact, low-cost design with edge Al processing allows reliable operation even in remote waters without internet access. This system provides an intelligent and energy-efficient solution for obstacle detection and situational awareness in small marine vessels."
