According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "AgroLease is a new farming equipment leasing platform that is intended to bring together farmers and equipment owners. This online-based software redefines the whole rent process by providing real-time access to different farming equipment like tractors, harvesters, drones, and sensors. IoT (Internet of Things) integration is used to track the usage, health, and other operational data of the machinery. Besides, the system is also equipped with predictive maintenance alerts, GPS tracking, and an intuitive dashboard enabling users at a glance to ensure transparency and accountability. AgroLease makes high-tech equipment available to smallholder and marginal farmers for short periods, thus improving productivity yet reducing the cost of ownership. In the context of equipment suppliers, the solution creates both higher utilization rates and better asset management. The system provides language support, file uploading, and secure payment gateways. The backend has data analytics for deriving insights and making decisions. This product differentiates itself from competing solutions by encompassing not only leasing management, and IoT but also AI as essential features. The platform can be further developed to include blockchain for validating transactions, and to add crop advisory modules that work based on the historical usage patterns in a particular region. In this way, AgroLease represents an entirely new approach to asset sharing, management, and optimization in agriculture."
