MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012518 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'agricultural produce peeling device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Venkadeshwaran K.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An agricultural produce peeling device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface and arranged with a chamber 2 for storing agricultural produce to be peeled, a touch interactive display panel 3 accessed by a user to provide input regarding number of produce to be peeled, an imaging unit 4 to detect presence of produce within the chamber 2, a primary robotic gripper 5 to position produce on suction cup 6, a laser measurement sensor to detect dimension of produce, plurality of cutting rollers 9 affixed to end of rocker arms 8 to peel the produce and a suction unit to extract the peel."
