MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024886 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'agricultural fertilizing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A agricultural fertilizing assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned in proximity to an agricultural field to be fertilized, a multi-sectioned chamber 2 is arranged over the platform 1 via a pair of links 3 that is developed to store various types of fertilizers, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 11 evaluates a 3-Dimensional mapping of the field, a touch interactive display panel 4 to select a desired area over the field to be fertilized, a laser acuity sensor sensor installed over the platform 1 to determine crop biomass of the user-selected area, an iris aperture 5 installed at base portion of each section of the chamber 2 to allow dispensing of the fertilizers, a container 7 detachably arranged over the platform 1 to receive the dispensed fertilizers and a pair of robotic grippers 10 configured over the platform 1 for gripping the container 7."
