MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133965 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'agentic ai hardware system using large language models for distributed iot devices.'

Inventor(s) include K. Ananthi; K. Tamilselvi; and R. Rathika.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In order to enable autonomous, adaptive and collaborative intelligence at the edge, the current invention presents an Agentic AI Hardware System for Distributed loT Devices employing Large Language Models. The system consists of several Internet ofThings nodes, each of which has a real-time data processing engine, sensor interfaces, secure communication modules and an LLM-based reasoning module incorporated in it. In order to reduce reliance on centralized cloud infrastructure, the innovation gathers and evaluates sensor data, system events and inter-device interactions to provide context-aware judgments and action plans locally. Distributed nodes can cooperate, exchange information and safely synchronize tasks with the help of a coordination framework. To guarantee effective, robust and scalable functioning, the system also includes modules for resource optimization, security and privacy. Smart cities, industrial automation, energy management, healthcare monitoring and autonomous transportation networks are some examples of applications."
