MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091585 A) filed by Philip Morris Products S. A., Neuchatel, Switzerland, on Sept. 24, for 'aerosol-generating article having hollow tubular element.'
Inventor(s) include Couderc, Gaetan Antony; and Kadiric, Alen.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An aerosol-generating article (10) for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating, the aerosol-generating article (10) comprising: a rod (12) of aerosol-generating substrate; a support element (22) downstream of the rod of aerosol-generating substrate (12), the support element (22) comprising a first hollow tubular element (26) having an internal diameter D1 and defining a longitudinal cavity (28) providing an unrestricted flow channel; and an aerosol-cooling element (24) downstream of the support element (22), the aerosol-cooling element (24) comprising a second hollow tubular element (34) having an internal diameter D2 of at least 6 millimetres, and defining a longitudinal cavity (36) providing an unrestricted flow channel. A ratio between the internal diameter D2 of the second hollow tubular element (34) and the internal diameter D1 of the first hollow tubular element (26) is at least 1.8."
