MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063614 A) filed by Madhukumar K; Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute Of Technology; Shashank NR; and Dr. Kirankumar M, Bangalore, Karnataka, on May 20, for 'aerodynamically integrated sports car body structure with seamless lighting and fluidic curvature.'

Inventor(s) include Shashank NR; Dr. Kirankumar M; and Dr. Madhukumar K.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an advanced automotive body structure for high-performance sports vehicles, integrating aerodynamic efficiency, structural continuity, and embedded lighting systems into a unified design framework. The body comprises a streamlined teardrop-shaped aeroform with a widened front section tapering toward the rear, a continuous glass canopy extending from windshield to rear, and fluidic side curvatures incorporating butterfly-shaped wheel arch transitions. The front fascia includes recessed twin oval LED headlamp assemblies with integrated daytime running lights and optimized airflow channels for thermal management. The rear structure integrates a continuous LED light strip, aerodynamic diffuser fins, and a spoiler lip for enhanced downforce. The design further includes hidden access interfaces, contoured underbody airflow channels, and modular adaptability for multiple powertrain configurations. The invention achieves reduced drag, improved stability, and enhanced visual identity through a seamless integration of structural and aerodynamic elements."
