MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088145 A) filed by Akhil Singhal, Malviya Nagar, Punjab, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'advanced autonomous counter-unmanned aerial system.'
Inventor(s) include Akhil Singhal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention presents a groundbreaking Counter-unmanned aerial system featuring Autonomous Interceptor Drone (7) equipped with electromagnetic pulse technology (8) for precise drone neutralization. Upon detection by the radar system (4), the Electro- Optical unit (6) swiftly acquires details on the unauthorized drone (5). This information seamlessly feeds into the Smart Control System which analyzes the threat level, maps the operational environment, and deploys the optimal Autonomous Interceptor Drone (7). With the help of a path guided by the Smart control system, the Autonomous Interceptor Drone (7) closes in. At the critical moment, a targeted electromagnetic pulse (11) disrupts both the Autonomous Interceptor Drone's (7) and the unauthorized drone's (5) electronic systems with precision, severing its control and communication channels, neutralizing the intruder, and making it descend safely within the designated zone. Both the crashed Autonomous Interceptor Drone (13) and the neutralized unauthorized drone (12) are then collected for examination."
