MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069529 A) filed by Hemitec Finland Oy, Rusko, Finland, on July 21, for 'adjusting tool for support devices and such support devices.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The adjusting tool of the invention is intended to be used in a support device. The adjusting tool comprises a first adjustment shaft (34), a second adjustment shaft (35), and a third adjustment shaft (41), and a beam (33) that can be adjusted for rotational movement in at least one direction by means of at least one of said adjustment shafts (34, 35, and/or 41). The first adjustment shaft (34) is attached to the beam (33), the second adjustment shaft (35) is attached to the first adjustment shaft (34), and the third adjustment shaft (41) is attached to the second adjustment shaft (35). Furthermore, the adjusting tool comprises a pair of attachment arms (36). One attachment arm is laterally movable along the beam on one side of the first adjustment shaft and the other one on the other side of the same. The support device of the invention has components to be positioned and supported. The support device is connected to said adjusting tool that on one hand is coupled to a transversal support arm thereof and on the other hand is coupled to a component thereof to be supported. The support device is e.g. a support device for positioning a patient for surgery, such as for correction of bone dislocations or for intramedullary tibial nailing."
