MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311083991 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 8, 2023, for 'adjustable wooden plank installation device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable wooden plank installation device comprising a X-shaped frame 1 having a first portion 2 and second portion 3, positioned by a user on a wooden plank, a ultrasonic sensor for detecting dimension of plank, a pneumatic pusher 5 for extending or retracting in order to provide movement to first portion 2 by means of a pivot joint integrated within frame 1 for clamping of plank between blocks 4, a pressure sensor for detecting clamping of plank between blocks 4, multiple pneumatic pins 6 for extending to provide proper grip to blocks 4 on planks, a cylindrical member 7 for enabling user to place a screw that user desires to install on plank, a chamber 8 for storing screws, an imaging unit 9 to determine successful placement of screws inside members 7, a robotic link 10 configured with a motorized screw driver 11 for screwing screws inside planks."
