MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012949 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'adjustable welding assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajasekar K.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable welding assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, an AI-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the platform 1, a laser emitter 3 to project a beam of laser light on a discontinued portion on a workpiece, a telescopically operated vertical member 4 to extend/retract to prevent contact of a torch with the platform 1 or the surface, pair of motorized clamps 5 for engaging a welding torch, a motorized slider 6 for translating the clamps to acquire a proper grip over the torch, an extendable pin 7 to extend for locking the torch in between the clamps, an air blower 8 to dissipate heat from the torch, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 to provide tilting movement to the torch to prevent dissipation of the heat on the platform 1."
