MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017909 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'adjustable water barricading device for doors.'

Inventor(s) include Ajay Kumar Upadhyay.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable water barricading device for doors comprises of a platform 1 developed to be installed parallel to a door that is required to be barricaded, multiple primary suction cups 2 for securing platform 1 on surface, a pair of telescopic bars 3 for pushing frame via a pair of vertical columns 4, a pair of motorized hinge joint 5 for deploying a pair of flaps 6 between platform 1 and column, a motorized slider 7 for providing movement to a plate 8 towards ground surface, a motorized pin joint 9 for allowing uplifting of platform 1, an imaging unit 10 for determining presence of any animal in proximity to platform 1, an ultrasonic wave generator 11 generates ultrasonic wave into water and a pair of universal joints 12 for deploying a wedged shaped member 13 in a manner that deflects water stream way from platform 1."
