MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013253 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adjustable wall surface cutting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable wall surface cutting device, comprising a frame 1 held by a user in proximity to a wall surface that is required to be cut, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 generating the 3D (three-dimensional) map of surface, a touch interactive display panel 6 displaying evaluated map for actuating a holographic projection unit 7 for projecting a holographic image on wall surface that assists the user regarding positioning of frame 1, a tactile sensor for detecting hardness of surface to extend for pushing blade 8 into wall surface, and a chamber 10 stores water for actuating an electronic nozzle 11 for dispensing water on blade 8 that aids in preventing overheat of blade 8."
