MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025562 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'adjustable walking assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable walking assistive device, comprising a frame 1 having a pair of A-shaped structures to aid a user to take support of the frame 1 to stand on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the frame 1 to determine dimensions of the user, plurality of wheels 3 arranged underneath the frame 1 to move the frame 1 over the surface in view of aiding the user to walk on the surface, a microphone 4 installed on the frame 1 for enabling the user to provide voice input signals in case the user needs to sit and a motorized sliding plate 5 arranged with the frame 1 that aids the user to sit."
